Over the few short days following the storm’s devastating impact on the Texas Coast, the humanitarian response from local and national communities to Hurricane Harvey has been nothing short of amazing. Those who have been displaced by flooding in Houston and Southeast Texas, however, will have a continued need for assistance beyond the overall recovery effort. Here are just a few ways you can help out your fellow Texans from the capitol city, small or large.
How you can help with hurricane relief:
Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund:
– You can make tax-deductible donations online .
– Or by check or money order mailed to the Greater Houston Community Foundation

Make your ARC donation go further:
– To double the impact of your contribution, Google is now matching the first $1 million in donations donated through their site to raise a total of $2 million. Contributions go directly to the and will then be distributed to the American Red Cross.
HELPING THE VOLUNTEER EFFORT:
Whether or not you can volunteer locally, allows individuals to contribute the relief effort through community volunteer service organization. Visit www.hands.org to see how you can assist those doing vital work to help save lives and give comfort.
